SponsoredReviews.com and PayperPost.com

I consult a lot of clients on an ad-hoc basis / telephone consulting and I have been using PayperPost.com for over 3 months now. I had two problems with them which never got resolved:

1. Their interface is way too slow - looks like I am browsing on a 19k modem.

2. I can’t sign up as an advertiser and as a blogger using the same email address.

So I thought lets try SponsoredReviews.com and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was much quicker to add campaigns (drawback: only 1 active campaign can be viewed by bloggers). Another big plus was that I can reject offers from bloggers before the reviews are written: so I can pick and choose which sites/blogs should write a review about me(my clients/websites/services). I dont have that flexibility with payperpost. There I ended up paying $60 for a post on a blog which may have PR5, but there wouldn’t be much value in the blog - so it was like a lottery on payperpost.com.

With sponsoredreviews, I am in full control of where my review is going to be and I basically end up paying much less for way better quality reviews than achievable on payperpost. The subject matter on the blogs was of major concern to some of my clients as they need good feedback and relevant traffic back to their services and reviews from sponsoredreviews is driving higher clickthroughs and conversions for my clients. Within 7 days I have been able to spend in excess of $2000 using couple of accounts with most reviews costing around $30.

The only problem with sponsoredreviews is that I can’t signup as a blogger using the same email that I signed up as an advertiser.

Now isn’t that a simple thing to ask for ? It’s been over 3hrs since I have been waiting for a response from their support team but they can’t understand this question at all.

Anyway, a nice read about taking your blog to next level.

UPDATE: The support guys still dont get it. Here is their reply:

==============

You will need create another account to be an advertiser.
sorry for the trouble.

=============

But I can’t create another account using the same email address!!

UPDATE2:  The support guys suggest that I must use another email account. I can’t believe they didn’t create this when designing their system!

==============

That is correct. You will have to use another email account.

Sorry for the inconvenience but we cannot allow users to have two accounts with the same email, for security reasons.

Unfortunately, we have only had about 2 requests for this feature out of the 5000 bloggers that have signed up, so we cannot justify recreating our system to support it.

If colour could talk, what would it say?

Shoemoney smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day because in those days they probably didn’t have smoke signals or fake cigarettes and I bet he would have continued smoking had he found the girl with a cigarette. I do not encourage smoking and would recommend people to quit smoking.

Cigarette advertising has become very difficult due to various laws, but these companies are now beginning to find alternate and subliminal ways to promote their products.

A spy camera inside a pack of Marlboro cigarettes and a chinese mobile phone (which includes a microSD card slot, MP3 player, camera AND a compartment for holding cigarettes) are some examples where technology is being used as a medium for these companies to promote and increase visibility.

But what I found most fascinating was how the Gallaher group (who owns Benson and Hedges amongst several other brands) is using their cigarette boxes to start a conversation. You can only see a small symbol when you open the pack, but once you have smoked all the cigarettes, you can then tear open the pack and look at the full picture inside. Now aren’t these companies trying to make the smokers smoke more cigarettes so that they can tear the pack open and look inside if the small symbol has made them curious enough ?

Here are some of the examples:
